Spring Fever

It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! ~Mark Twain

The shop is full to busting with new treasures and treats for the coming spring.
Visit us Tuesday through Saturdy, 10 am to 5 pm!

Signs of Spring

Gardening is happening in earnest when the sun peaks out.
This is the season of labor.
Oh, but what a reward is in store!

To see a hillside white with dogwood bloom is to know a particular ecstasy of beauty, but to walk the gray winter woods and find the buds which will resurrect that beauty in another May is to partake of continuity. ~Hal Borland

Closed for January

Poet's Garden is Closed
for the month of January.
We will be back sometime
the beginning of February.
Lots of cleaning, shopping,
decorating, and designing to do!
See you in February!

There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you.... In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself. ~Ruth Stout

I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show. ~Andrew Wyeth

Winter is the time of promise because there is so little to do - or because you can now and then permit yourself the luxury of thinking so. ~Stanley Crawford
