Paris, the most glamorous of backdrops for films like Funny Face, American in Paris, Amelie and French Kiss. We felt like we were in the movies!
Walking all over, from early mornings in the Boulangerie to late night wanderings down the Champs E'lysses, the windows and doorways, awnings and balconies begged to be photographed. The people of Paris seem to live simple yet elegant lives! The bird market, the flower market, and the fresh produce were part of their daily lives in a charming (almost cliche) way. Spending time enjoying the public parks and beautifully designed squares is a favorite activity for families, couples, business men, school children, and of course the little old ladies talking to the birds!

These pictures were all taken on the first two days in Paris!

Shannon, we share a penchant for doors and gates!!! Wherever I travel, whether for pleasure or to speak at trade shows, I make a point of walking the city and photographing old doors and gates with character. I have some AMAZING shots from Charleston, but they don't even begin to compare with Parisian architecture!!!
